1. The short version
We use three cookies. One keeps your contact-form submissions safe. One remembers your cookie consent choice. One counts page views for our internal weekly review. None of them follow you off this site, and none are sold to third parties.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text string a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit, the browser sends the string back so the site recognises you. Some cookies are required for the site to function; others are useful but optional.
3. Cookies we set
Essential β cannot be switched off
- PHPSESSID β session identifier. Lets the contact form’s CSRF protection work. Expires when you close the browser.
- fbb_cc_v1 β stores your consent choice from the cookie banner so we don’t pester you again. Expires 12 months from acceptance.
Analytics β only if you accept
- _ncm_v β a first-party page-view counter we run on our own server. Anonymous, no IP retained. Expires 30 days.
4. Cookies we do not set
- No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no TikTok Pixel.
- No re-marketing pixels of any kind.
- No third-party advertising tags.
5. How to manage cookies
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the small gear icon in the bottom-left corner of any page. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings β see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox or Safari for step-by-step guidance.
6. Updates
If we add or remove a cookie, this page is updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes (e.g. adding analytics partners) will also trigger a new consent banner.
7. Questions
Email us at [email protected] if anything here is unclear, or if you’d like to see the source of our own analytics counter β we’re happy to share it.
