We don’t keep a list of forty-seven style names you’ve never heard of. Here are the cuts our barbers do daily, in plain English. Bring a photo if you’ve got one — pictures save a lot of explaining.
- Skin fade — taken down to bare skin at the lowest point. Sharp and modern.
- Mid fade & low fade — softer transition starting above the ear or temple.
- Classic taper — gentle, conservative, blends into a longer top.
- Scissor crop — textured top, scissor-cut sides for grown-out looks.
- Side part & pomp — heritage styles, perfected with a sharp line.
- Buzz & clipper cut — quick, uniform length, ten minutes flat.

The cut
Clipper and scissor work done in stages, with mirror checks at each step. We’ll never sneak in a number you didn’t agree to.
Line-up
Hairline, sideburns and neckline sharpened with a trimmer or straight razor — your call.
Hot towel finish
A steamed towel to lift loose hair, then a light styling cream or sea salt spray if you want hold without a helmet feel.
Cut FAQs
How often should I come back for a fade?
A skin fade looks tightest for the first two weeks and starts losing definition around week three. Most regulars rebook every 3–4 weeks; the longer you wait, the more reset work we’ll need to do.
I’m growing my hair out. Can you still help?
Absolutely. We’ll scissor-blend the sides every 5–6 weeks so the transition stays clean rather than mushrooming. Bring a target photo and we’ll map a 4–6 month grow-out plan.
What if I don’t love the result?
Tell the barber before you leave the chair and we’ll adjust on the spot, or pop back within seven days and we’ll fix it free of charge. Hair is hair — we’d rather you walk out happy than polite.
Do you use one-time blades and sanitised tools?
Yes. Straight-razor blades are single-use, clipper blades are oiled and UV-sterilised between clients, capes and towels are fresh every chair turn.
